I wondered the same thing when I read the will. I'll be interesed to see who Margaret married and whether or not she stayed in Erie. If my hunch pans out and this Michael is the Michael that moved to Forrest County and stayed (Brian Game's grandfather) then I wonder if their being away had anything to do with it - or if that was the reason they stayed away... just a therory.

I have just recently been in touch with a VOGEL descendant. She is a decendant of Catherine Vogel and Johan Albert YOSTEN. Though we have yet to prove that this Catherine is our Catherine, I have proved that our Catherine's brother, Frank, is married to Johan's (John's) sister Margaret.

Did you follow that?

Maria Elizabeth HAFT and Matthew/Martin VOGEL had 6 children
Frank (c. 1834) married Margaret Yosten
Catherine (c.1848) married John Yosten

Margaret and John are siblings, born to Johann Peter JOSTEN and Anna Maria HILD.

I found Frank and Margaret's children were born at St. Boniface. She has record of all the children born there ( I believe we had one). I found Frank, Margaret and their children living with their parents, M FOGLE and Elisabeth, in the 1870 census, I believe I sent this to you.

Anyway, I got the things you sent in the mail today - I'm amazed you even spotted their names in the first place! And praying that it's ever possible to find the others... Jeesh, I didnt realize how hard they were to read! Especially when searching for a needle in a haystack. At least when I search the church records I know I am looking at the right church! Thank you SO VERY MUCH for sending them along to me! I appreciate it immensely!!!

I'll be heading to the library tomorrow and hoping to look up the obits of all Philip's siblings. Also will check out the Vogels.

I put in another email to Crystal, the lady who does look-ups at St. B's hoping to find the marriage record of Catherine Vogel and John Yosten. As well as Frank and Margaret's. I'll keep you informed on what she finds.

And also of what I find tomorrow.
