Ill for several weeks, Frank Althof, seventy-one, died Monday night at his home, 2913 Pine ave. He had been owner of the Althof Planing Mill, and later conducted a hotel and grocery business.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth M. Fromknecht Althof; one son, Carl; a daughter, Mae G. Behringer; a sister, Mrs. Lydia Anderson; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A brother, Samuel Althof, died August 22, 1937.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Brugger funeral home, 449 E 9th st., with the Rev. Joseph Lindsay, pastor of Emanuel Presbyterian church officiating. Interment will following Erie cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home at any time and to attend services.
