George J. Bohrer, 76, Brewing Co. Mechanic
George J. Bohrer, 76, of 801 E. 21st, died Wednesday morning at Hamot Medical Center.
Born in Erie, he was the son of the late Jacob and Margaret Grehl Bohrer, pioneer Erie residents.
Mr. Bohrer was employed as a mechanic for 15 years at the Erie Brewing Co.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Agnes Mittner Bohrer; three sons, Edward and Joseph Mittner of Erie and Richard Mittner of Arcadia, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. William (Virginia) Miller of Erie and Mrs. Betty Wilson of Fairport, N.Y.; four sisters, Sister Raymond Marie Bohrer, Ph.D. S.S.J., Mrs. Sam (Caroline) Randazzo, Mrs. Ernest (Clara) Haener, and Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Spencer, all of Erie; four brothers, Father Raymond E. Bohrer, C.Ss.R., Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Brooklyn, N.Y., and Joseph H., Anthony P., and Frank D. Bohrer all of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, 215 W. 25th. Prayer services Saturday morning at 9:30 will be followed by Mass of The Resurrection at Holy Rosary Church at 10. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The parish Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 8 in the Kloecker Home.
